## About

PDF Watermark for WooCommerce helps protect eBooks, reports, templates, and other downloadable PDFs by automatically applying text or image watermarks at download time.

Each generated file can include personalized customer or order information, making downloads traceable and discouraging unauthorized sharing.

Features include:

* Add text watermarks with controls for font, size, opacity, alignment, and position.
* Add image watermarks (for example, your logo) with adjustable opacity and placement.
* Personalize watermarks using customer and order details such as name, email, order number, and order date.
* Restrict copying, printing, and document modification for stronger PDF protection.
* Choose which pages should display the watermark.

Compatibility notes:

* Requires WooCommerce to be active.
* Marketplace listing version: 1.9.9.
* Marketplace listing tested with WordPress 6.8 and WooCommerce 10.6.1.

## Changelog

### 2.1.4 — 2026-09-22

* New: Independent position, opacity, size and offset settings for text and image watermarks, so a faint centred logo and clear personalised text can sit on the same page. Existing installations migrate automatically and keep their current appearance.
* Fix: PDF bookmarks, including nested entries and their destinations, are now carried into the watermarked file instead of being discarded. Can be turned off under Protection -> PDF Output.
* Fix: An iPhone or iPad download no longer consumes two of the customer's downloads.
* Fix: The {order_date} tag now shows the date without the time in downloaded PDFs, matching the settings preview.
* Fix: 'Alternate pages' and 'Custom' page selection honour the merchant's page settings again.
* Fix: EPUB image watermarks display without an internet connection, and EPUB files no longer expose the server's absolute upload path.
* Fix: Image watermarks in formats the server's PHP cannot measure, such as AVIF, are now sized and positioned correctly instead of being drawn oversized from the middle of the page.

See changelog.txt for the full release history.

### 1.9.9

* Maintenance release for current WordPress and WooCommerce compatibility.
