Security policy
Reporting a vulnerability. Security problems in the theme’s own code belong to the vendor, Liquid Themes; report them there. Problems with a package as this repository distributes it — a file that should not be there, a scan that missed something — go to packages@meteorgpl.com, and are answered within 48 hours.
What happens on a finding. The affected versions are withdrawn from the repository, watchers of the package are notified, and a corrected version is published when one passes every check.
Rights holders. The takedown policy describes how a package is removed.
Known vulnerabilities
Public vulnerability reports for AIHub, the versions they affect and the version in this repository that fixes them. Watchers and accounts known to run an affected version are alerted.
The AI Hub - Startup & Technology WordPress Theme theme for WordPress is vulnerable to Path Traversal in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.10. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information.
Remediation: No known patch available. Please review the vulnerability's details in depth and employ mitigations based on your organization's risk tolerance. It may be best to uninstall the affected software and find a replacement.
CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory
Multiple plugins and/or themes for WordPress by LiquidThemes are vulnerable to unauthorized access due to a missing capability check on the liquid_reset_wordpress_before AJAX in various versions. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to deactivate all of a site's plugins. While we escalated this to Envato after not being able to establish contact, it appears the developer added a nonce check, however that is not sufficient protection as the nonce is exposed to all users with access to the dashboard.
Remediation: No known patch available. Please review the vulnerability's details in depth and employ mitigations based on your organization's risk tolerance. It may be best to uninstall the affected software and find a replacement.
The vendor fixed it in 1.3.8; that version is not in the repository yet.
